Emilie Kyle, is a NCIDQ Certified
Professional Interior Designer who
earned her certification and passed the
LEED exam, 2009. She has a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design. Having worked at nationally ranked firms, she gained experience with hospitality and retail projects, then regional and federal agency projects, as well as commercial tenant layouts, so she is well-equipped to handle almost any sized project. She opened Lush Interior Design in 2014.
When it comes to her style, she leans towards clean lines, shades of blue, strategic use of pattern, and has a great eye for art, but don't worry, she always tells clients that she'll help to further develop their own personal or brand style.
She enjoys walks by the river, travel, cooking, hanging by a fire or in the pool, and will go anywhere to taste great wine.
She lives in Alexandria with her husband, step-son, and French Bulldog, Penélopé.

Penélopé joined Lush four years ago as an intern, and has grown into an essential part of the team. If you visit the studio, she will be the first to greet you with unbounded enthusiasm. She might bring you her ball or her rope to play with. When she’s not getting belly rubs, walks or giving snuggles, she takes long naps under Emilie’s desk.
