One of the best things about spring, is the freshness and new life waking up all around us. In the design world, it is no different, since new products were just showcased in High Point. One of my favorite things to do while at market is to scout for specific items for client projects and I happen to take a lot of pictures. At almost 200 photos a day, it wasn’t hard to see the trends that popped up over and over. We first posted about High Point here and shared trends we were seeing. If you’ve read that post, you’ll see some familiar movements that are still staying strong. Since we have a lot to cover, we thought we’d give you a couple weeks to digest what we found, so we’ll be posting part two next week!

Let’s get to it! The image below covers a number of trends you’ll see further down in the post and in next week’s post. First we are still seeing a lot of brass – hammered, polished; used as hardware, in lighting, and here in the art. That brings us to the organic and nature-inspired art. Let’s not forget the chandelier with brass branches!
