Today I am announcing an exciting new service! I’ll give you a little background below, but I’ll get right to it.
We’re officially offering Christmas decorating services!
Last fall I received an inquiry from a local resident that had exhausted all of her local inquiries for help with her decorating dilemma. She sounded desperate to turn her gorgeous home into a sophisticated winter wonderland for the upcoming holiday season. It was mid-October and my schedule was already booked on a huge client deadline already, so I couldn’t even come to see her until a couple weeks later. We met and chatted about her vision for the different areas of her home and she allowed lots of room for creativity, which is really the best for all.
I knew this would be a fun project because of my previous experience in designing commercial holiday installations all over the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas for another local company years ago. And surely it was!
This was such a wonderful experience for both the client and my team, I decided that adding residential Christmas decorating to our list of services, would really help you out during one of the busiest times of year. Whether it’s overwhelming to think about, that shaky ladder seems to get taller each year, or you have an annual party that you really want to impress with, we can take care of everything for you.
Given the current state of things, you may not be having that annual Christmas party, but instead it may be simpler with only immediate family at home. One way to make things feel a bit different, is to change out your tired, old decorations for something shinier and new.
I want to share several areas that we helped our client with, so take a look for some really gorgeous inspiration.
We decorated her exterior with gorgeous pine roping and gold-trimmed velvet burgundy bows. This makes for a classic Christmas look!
We created amazing fruit fans for her transom windows like they have in Williamsburg.
We decorated a twelve-foot pre-lit stunner in whites and golds with red accents.
A house this nice could never be short on trees, so we put a matching nine-foot tree in the corner of the dining area with beautiful live florals for the party.
One of two festive mantels we decorated.
And we couldn’t let her entertain without fresh florals layered over the decor we placed in the kitchen. We worked one of our florist partners in designing these gorgeous arrangements.
Though we love to leave some neutral space, we took full advantage of her large coffee table and used some glittery reindeer to create a glamorous wintry scene.

Can you tell I love transforming already-beautiful spaces for a specific purpose like Christmas? The warm lights, the greens and florals, the sparkle, the undulating ribbons ” it’s just the right atmosphere for a perfect holiday.
It might feel like it’s too early to be talking about decorating for Christmas, but it’s not too early to get this checked off your list and delegate it to my team. Let me come to you home for a consultation or we can do a virtual consultation and we can talk about your goals for the space, overall aesthetic, and specific wants.
Go check out our new website www.oldtownchristmas.com to see more beautiful photos and learn about our service offerings.
I hope you like what you read and will share it with someone who might find it valuable.
