Hiring an interior designer if you never have before can feel daunting, but my hope is that I can help clarify things for you. While a super detailed list is quite helpful, it isn’t required. When we meet during the consultation, I take down a lot of information and ask a lot of questions you may not have thought of yet. Knowing what your end goals and wants are for practicality and for how you live is important for us to know before we start sketching a single line.

Hiring an interior designer isn’t cheap, but it’s often less expensive than making space plan, lighting design, ceiling detail, trim, plumbing, finish, or furniture mistakes. Many of my busy full-service clients run businesses of their own, sit in the C-suite, are in the legal field, or have been in the military, so delegation is part of the job, and they understand that time is money. In full-service design, we take care of as much as possible to save you time so you can continue working, spending time with your kids, and traveling without worrying about whether the contractor picked up the correct cabinet pulls you wanted. Through the design process, every decision builds on the last and you are a part of those decisions at specified points. It’s not uncommon for clients to hire us for more projects within their home or to hire us for a second home because we’ve built trust with them on the first project.
